Guest Services Representative 

The Granite-Tops Guest Services Representative is an integral member of the team, responsible for customer satisfaction as the first point of contact for our customers via phone or in person. This position also provides general support to all functions, including that of production, sales, project management, accounting and other administrative functions. 


Duties and responsibilities

Greets customers or facility visitors and answers basic questions regarding Granite-Top’s/Stone Countertop Outlet facilities, products and processes
Answers incoming calls and directs callers to appropriate team members
Records, delivers and receives messages for team members as needed 
Provides information to customers over the phone including facility address and directions, fax numbers, website and other related information
Receives, sorts and forwards incoming mail
Maintains and routes publications
Monitors fax and print bin, sorts and distributes to appropriate team members
Coordinates the pick-up and delivery of express mail services
Assists in ordering, receiving, stocking and distribution of office supplies
Assists with other related administrative duties such as photocopying, faxing, filing, stapling and collating
Registers product and service warranties
Supports and provides back-up to Stone Sales Specialist and Facility Manager or Regional Operations Manager including assisting with tasks and projects as needed
Increases knowledge of Stone Sales Specialist position and takes on additional sales duties as position progresses
Assists builder/contractor clients with selections in our showrooms/warehouse
Learns the retail process as a ‘Stone Specialist’ (see job description) and moves into that role for career development opportunity.

Additional Responsibilities:

Supports marketing efforts by compiling brochures and packet materials or with other tasks or projects as needed
Provide employment applications and open position information to potential hires
Keep front reception, show room and entry area clean, neat and organized
Water office plants and maintain showroom beverage equipment and supplies
Represent Granite-Tops and Stone Countertop Outlet as a safe, professional, on-time, Quality Company.
Work safely and responsibly, adhering to all safety policies, procedures and guidelines
Adhere to all company policies and codes of the employee handbook
Reports month end inventory of stock sinks and maintenance and care products to corporate office
Receives/Collects all credit card receipts to guarantee delivery to accounting
Use tools at front desk (pagers) to handle walk-in traffic during busy season
All other duties assigned



High school diploma or equivalent

Customer Service – focused on delivering outstanding service and experiences that meet and exceed our customers needs and expectations
Organization, Prioritization and Attention to detail – ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks in order to maintain high customer service and team support levels
Math – Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide
Computer – proficiency in computer applications to assist in executing the business processes, including Microsoft Office Suite


one (1) year of administrative, customer service or related experience

Working conditions

This position will spend time in both an indoor office environment and indoor warehouse environment

Frequent bending, reaching, standing, sitting, walking
